Walking into a CrossFit gym is different than a normal gym.
The everyday routine:
1. Warm-Up: Everyone goes though a structured warm-up to prevent injury.
2. Strength: Next is a strength component of dead lift, cleans, snatches, squats, or gymnastics work.
3. WOD (Workout of the Day): Here starts the hardest part of the class, a programmed workout to complete for either time, rounds, or completing work ever minute on the minute happens next.
4. Cool-Down: Lastly you roll and smash out muscles to recover for the next session!
Also if anyone has interest in trying or starting CrossFit, Grove City has a Box/gym you can test out along with a great coach! They have a Facebook page too: CrossFit Grove City
I have always wanted to try CrossFit. Where do you go to do CrossFit? Is it expensive? I feel that I would really enjoy a class. I love strength training as well as High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.T.T.) CrossFit sounds like it is a mix of all types of physical activities.Doing things for time is one of my favorite ways to work out. It makes me push myself because I am very competitive!
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome that you do cross fit! I have always loved watching the cross fit games, and have had a lot of interest in the sport. I follow Camille Bazinet and Christmas Abbott on instagram and they are absolutely insane! The amount of strength and endurance some of those activities have are absolutely crazy, and so awesome! Thank you for giving a little bit of the run down on how it works.
ReplyDeleteI find CrossFit so interesting! I want to learn more and someday participate in it. Like Tennille asked, is it expensive? Where can you find CrossFit gyms? I had no idea that CrossFit gyms are different than normal gems. That's good to know. Can you post more about CrossFit? Thanks!
